Meet the Instructors

Elisabeth Burton

Elisabeth Burton has been the owner of Linda Watkins School of Dance since 2009 after teaching at Linda Watkins for five years. She danced professionally with the Roanoke Dazzle Star City Squad, a national basketball association development league dance team. During her years teaching with Mrs. Watkins, she became certified in ballet, jazz, and tap through Dance Masters of America. Elisabeth holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Roanoke Chamber of Commerce. She continues her dance education by attending dance conventions with her competition team.

In 2013, she received the Marjorie Perry Spirit teacher award, an award bestowed upon a teacher who demonstrates the same love and devotion to teaching dance that Marjorie Perry displayed, from Dance Makers Inc. Along with this honor, she has produced award winning choreography for multiple competitions.

“My hope is to teach others the passion of dance that Mrs. Watkins has shared with me.”
